Be sure to bring a passport and photo ID.
Los Barriles: Many airlines have flights into San Jose del Cabo Airport to the south and the prices are much cheaper than flying into La Paz. From the airport, take a taxi north to Los Barriles. You can also arrange for shuttles to pick you up at the airport to take you to Los Barriles or La Ventana.
La Ventana: Since Aero California stopped operations a number of both AeroMexico and Alaska Airlines are flying to La Paz from Los Angeles. The most recent word in 2012 is that Alaska is suspending flights to La Paz. From the airport, taxis to La Ventana are available and usually you can get a taxi for $50-$60 at the airport. The prices are much more expensive than flying into Los Cabos. If you are on a tight budget there is another option. Fly into Los Cabos. Walk the half mile from the airport to the highway. Every hour a bus passes with a La Paz sign on the front. For only $3.00 US. you can get 2-3 hour slow ride to La Paz. Get off at the bus depot and take a taxi to LaVenatana. The price is much cheaper than from the airport and should cost about $35.
