the day as the surface high pressure, 30.60 inches, drifts
southeastward through illinois and eventually into the ohio
valley by wednesday. winds increase out of the wsw this evening
through tonight as a shortwave moves through the great lakes
bringing wind gusts of 20-25 knots and moderate freezing spray to
parts of central and northern lake huron. hazardous small craft
conditions will also develop tonight across outer saginaw bay and
parts of the thumb nearshores. a low pressure, 29.50 inches,
moving over quebec will help drag a front and a reinforcing shot
of arctic air into the region thursday into the weekend. the
result will bring possible gales along with more widespread
moderate to freezing spray across lake huron thursday.
