waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.synopsis...a 29.3 inch low will move from lake superior tonight 
to just east of james bay by wednesday night while deepening to 
28.9 inches. a strong cold front trailing this low will cross the 
lake wednesday. a 30.5 inch high will build into the ohio valley 
on thursday and then across the mid-atlantic coast on friday. a 
29.3 inch low will then track across quebec on saturday, dragging 
another cold front across the lake late in the day.

wednesday morning. the system sends a strong cold front through
the central lakes first half of wednesday morning leading to
strengthening west- northwest winds over the course of the day.
gales remain likely daytime wednesday into wednesday night,
including the potential for strong gales over the northern
portions of lake huron.
