waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.synopsis...broad high pressure averaging 30.2 inches stretching 
from the southeastern states to the upper ohio valley will slowly 
drift to the east coast through wednesday...then offshore on
thursday. a 29.7 inch low will then track from the central great
lakes to the ottawa valley on thursday...and in the process will
push its trailing cold front eastward across the lake.
