for waters beyond five nautical miles of shore on lake ontario

waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.synopsis...a 29.7 inch low will move east across quebec today
through tonight while deepening to 29.3 inches. a strong arctic
cold front will move southeast across the lake early this evening.
a 30.7 inch high will then build from the upper mississippi valley
friday to the ohio valley friday night, and the mid atlantic
saturday before moving well off the east coast by sunday. a 29.7
inch low will then move from the upper great lakes sunday to the
canadian maritimes by monday.

this evening...

.today...southwest winds 15 to 25 knots increasing to 35 knot
gales. scattered snow showers late. waves 5 to 9 feet building to
8 to 11 feet. waves occasionally around 14 feet. 
.tonight...west gales to 35 knots becoming northwest and
diminishing to 30 knots after midnight. snow showers in the
evening, then a chance of snow showers after midnight. waves 9 to
12 feet subsiding to 7 to 10 feet. waves occasionally around
15 feet. 
.friday...northwest winds to 30 knots. snow showers likely. waves
5 to 9 feet building to 7 to 10 feet. waves occasionally around
13 feet. 
.friday night...northwest winds to 30 knots diminishing to 15 to
20 knots. snow showers likely. waves 7 to 11 feet subsiding to
3 to 6 feet. waves occasionally around 14 feet.
