1/3 of the wave spectrum. occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.synopsis...a 29.8 inch low along the jersey shore this morning will 
move north along the new england coast, deepening to 29.5 inches as 
it reaches the gulf of maine saturday, then into the canadian 
maritimes saturday night. a 30.4 inch high will then build from 
northwest ontario province saturday to the lower great lakes sunday 
before moving off the southern new england coast monday, and then 
farther offshore of the mid atlantic tuesday.

across the central great lakes region through tonight. a quick
moving cold front pushes a trough of 30.1 inches south across the
region on saturday, followed by high pressure of 30.4 inches
building into the central and eastern great lakes for the end of
the weekend. this secondary area of high pressure traverses the
east coast into tuesday.
