is the average height of the highest 1/3 of the waves...along
with the average height of the highest 10 percent of the waves
which will occasionally be encountered.
.synopsis...low pressure of 29.3 inches over james bay will reach
slide east into southern quebec today...then shift over the canadian
maritimes early monday. a surface ridge averaging 30.0 inches
has moved across lake michigan this morning...and will continue to
slide east by this evening towards the eastern ohio valley. broad low
pressure of around 29.5 inches will move across the central and
northern plains into monday and reach the upper great lakes monday
night. the low will deepen to 29.4 inches while consolidating
across central and southern ontario tuesday. the low will then
track near or across southern james bay tuesday night while
continuing to deepen. the low will drag a series of cold frontal
boundaries across lake michigan monday night and tuesday. high
pressure is then expected to spread south of the region wednesday
with a ridge axis crossing the lake.

morning. a weak 30.1 inch high pressure ridge will drift from the
northern plains to the upper mississippi valley on wednesday before
