light westerly winds this morning will back to the south and
increase toward evening as strong low pressure of 29.4 inches 
organizes over the central plains.

the low will head toward central wisconsin by mid-day on thursday,
then northeast of lake huron by late thursday evening. strong
south to southeast winds will likely reach gale force levels by
early thursday morning. winds will diminish for a time late
thursday afternoon into the early evening as the low pressure
trough passes overhead. however, northwest winds on the back side
of the trough will ramp back up quickly to gale force levels into
the early morning hours on friday. 

winds will then steadily diminish friday, becoming light westerly
friday afternoon. light to moderate, mainly west to southwest 
winds are then expected into early next week.

.synopsis...a 30.1 inch ridge will continue across the upper 
great lakes through this evening. a 29.6 inch low pressure system 
is developing over the central plains and will move across the 
mackinac straits by thursday evening as it deepens to 29.4 inches.
by friday the low exits into quebec as a brief 30.1 inch ridge 
shifts over the region, and by saturday a 29.7 inch low pressure 
trough will move into the region from a low centered over northern
manitoba and northern ontario. the trough will remain steady over
the region sunday as another low works it's way east across the 
northern canadian plains.
