and mcgregor. at wabasha...the stage will remain near flood stage
today but has begun a slow decline. at mcgregor...the crest is
expected later this weekend.

river forecasts take into account both observed and forecast 
precipitation.

do not drive cars into flooded areas. remember...it takes only two 
feet of water to float most automobiles...including sport utility 
vehicles. turn around...don/t drown.

.dry weather will persist through part of the weekend before some
showers move back in for sunday night and monday...although
signficant amounts are not in the forecast. the extended outlook is
for addtional rain chances toward the end of next week.  the
following forecast is based on observed and forecast 24 hour
precipitation.

advisory for the following rivers in southwest lower michigan...

  grand river at lowell affecting kent county
  sycamore creek at holt affecting ingham county
  maple river at maple rapids affecting clinton county
  flat river near smyrna affecting ionia county
  little muskegon river above morley affecting mecosta county

.please note that the following forecast is based on observed and
forecast 48 hour precipitation.  the forecast calls for rain moving
into the area this afternoon with another round of heavy rain on
sunday into monday.  total rainfall amounts for saturday through
monday for the grand river basin are around an inch.
