waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.synopsis...a 29.6 inch low over the northern great lakes this 
evening will deepen to 29.4 inches by the time it reaches georgian
bay wednesday morning. this system will push a strong cold front 
across the lake wednesday morning. the storm system will weaken 
over the saint lawrence valley wednesday night, while a deep 
coastal storm will develop off new england. the strengthening 28.9
inch low will move to the canadian maritimes thursday and friday 
as a 30.0 inch high crosses the ohio valley and upper great lakes.
this high will then build across the mid-atlantic states on
saturday.
