...lakeshore flood warning remains in effect from 5 am to 8 pm
edt wednesday...

* lake shore flooding...gusty northwest to north winds wednesday
will generate waves of 5 to 10 feet along the lake michigan
shoreline. locally higher waves are possible. waves of this
size will be capable of producing lakeshore flooding.

* timing...from early wednesday morning through early wednesday
  evening.

* impacts...high winds and waves will generate some beach
  flooding and erosion.

precautionary/preparedness actions...

high winds and waves will combine with above normal great lakes
water levels, to generate an increased chance of moderate beach
erosion and coastal flooding along some great lakes shorelines.

flooding is most likely in low lying, flood prone areas along the
immediate lakeshore, in bays and inlets.

coastal residents should be alert for rising water, and take
appropriate action to protect life and property. people should
stay off piers and jetties to avoid being swept into the lake.
