This wind FlowViz map is a dynamic representation of forecasted surface winds at specific times. The Java applet that allows this visualization is based heavily on code written by Nick Thompson. Please refer to the time and date in the upper right corner of the map. Indicated time is SC- South Carolina local time. See color legend below for indication of wind velocity. The animated "streaklines" depict the wind flow over this geographic region. Streaklines elongate and increase in speed in areas with higher predicted wind velocity. Data in this map is produced by the WeatherFlow Forecast Modeling System and contains proprietary data and technology protected by all Copyright laws.
