...pockets of light freezing rain and sleet possible mainly north
of a patten...houlton line...

surface temperatures have fallen close to freezing over portions
of northern penobscot and southeast aroostook counties especially
north of a patten to houlton line. light rain could transition
into pockets of light freezing rain over these portions of the
region into the late night hours, particularly over higher
terrain. motorists should exercise caution if planning on
traveling on untreated rural roads in the highlighted area during
this time, especially if traversing higher terrain. any freezing
rain should transition back to non freezing rain by 3 am as
temperatures begin to rise again.
