waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.synopsis...a 30.6 inch area of high pressure will slide across the 
lake this morning, and then move on to new england this afternoon. a 
29.7 inch low will then move across the central great lakes 
wednesday and into southern ontario, with its trailing cold front 
crossing lake ontario wednesday night. a secondary surface wave 
developing across the carolinas wednesday night will then deepen to 
29.1 inches as it pushes northeastward along the mid atlantic and 
new england coastlines thursday. a cold front will then cross the 
lake on friday.

.tonight...southeast winds 15 to 25 knots becoming south. a
chance of snow after midnight. snow late. waves 2 to 4 feet
building to 3 to 6 feet. 
.wednesday...south winds 15 to 25 knots. snow in the morning,
then rain and snow in the afternoon. waves 3 to 6 feet building
to 4 to 7 feet. waves occasionally around 9 feet. 
.wednesday night...south winds 15 to 25 knots becoming southwest.
rain in the evening, then rain with snow likely overnight. waves
4 to 7 feet building to 5 to 8 feet. waves occasionally around
10 feet. 
.thursday...west winds 15 to 25 knots. a chance of snow showers.
waves 4 to 7 feet subsiding to 2 to 4 feet. waves occasionally
