friday...

the national weather service in green bay has issued a small
craft advisory...which is in effect from 1 pm thursday to 1 am
cdt friday. 

* east to southeast winds are expected to increase to 15 to 25
  knots with locally higher gusts thursday morning...and then
  continue into early thursday evening. winds should gradually
  subside late thursday evening into early friday morning.

* waves are expected to build to 3 to 5 feet on lake michigan
  thursday afternoon and continue into thursday night before
  gradually subsiding overnight. waves on the bay of green bay
  should be 2 feet or less due to ice still on the bay.

precautionary/preparedness actions...

a small craft advisory means that wind speeds over 20 knots or
waves greater than 4 feet are expected to produce hazardous
conditions to small craft. inexperienced mariners...especially
those operating smaller vessels should avoid navigating in these
conditions.
