Kailua Overview
Classic spot for windsurfing and kitesurfing. Not quite as windy as Maui, on average, but paradise nonetheless.
Here's a link to the OKC - Oahu Kite Club - working to keep kiting safe & legal. www.kiteoahu.com. Kiting is at risk of being banned from Kailua beach. Please help preserve access by strictly adhering to the following guidelines.
1. No jumping or jibing within 200 feet of the shore line. Note this is 25 meters beyond the buoys.
2. Do not leave kites on the beach.
3. Absolutely no kiting in the designated swim zone.
