...widespread frost likely in many coastal areas late monday 
night and tuesday morning...

.a very cold air mass continues to settle into the region in wake
of sunday's cold frontal passage. wind speeds are expected to 
diminish by late monday night and will set the stage for 
widespread freezing temperatures across inland areas from late 
tonight into tuesday morning. in addition, frost is likely in 
coastal areas as temperatures drop to near freezing.

.a very cold airmass will be over northern california through early
this week. the coldest temperatures are expected early this 
morning into tuesday morning, with another night of freezing 
temperatures tuesday night.

widespread frost is expected. agricultural impacts could be
significant, due to an early bloom from unusually mild weather in
recent weeks. people should take steps to protect sensitive 
plants, outdoor pets, and outdoor pipes.
