chippewa river below mt pleasant affecting isabella county
...the national weather service in grand rapids has issued a flood
advisory for the following rivers in southwest lower michigan...
pere marquette river near scottville affecting mason county
.the current weather is dominated by high pressure. no additional
rainfall is expected. the extended outlook brings scattered storms
into the region late sunday into monday. the following forecast is
based on observed and forecast 24 hour precipitation.
precautionary/preparedness actions...
safety message...caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
a flood advisory means minor flooding is possible and rivers are
forecast to exceed bankfull. if you are in the advisory area remain
alert to possible flooding... or the possibility of the advisory
being upgraded to a warning. report observed flooding to local
emergency services or law enforcement and request they pass this
information on to the national weather service.

the pere marquette river near scottville.
* until sunday evening.
* at 10 am saturday the stage was 3.9 feet.
* bankfull stage is 4.0 feet.
* flood stage is 5.5 feet.
* forecast...the river will rise to near 4.0 feet by this evening.
* impact...at 4.0 feet...river is bankfull. overflow of low lying
areas adjacent to the river occurs

illinois river at havana affecting cass...fulton and mason counties.
illinois river at beardstown affecting brown...cass...morgan and
schuyler counties.
.river levels have continued to slowly fall at both havana and
beardstown.
the following forecasts are based on observed precipitation...soil
moisture conditions...and forecast precipitation through sunday
morning. note that rainfall totals over the next few days may
approach 2 inches...which could alter the projections below.
people with interests along the river should monitor future
forecasts closely.
