for waters beyond five nautical miles of shore on lake ontario
waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.
.synopsis...a strong 30.7 inch high centered well to the north will
remain ridged south across the lake through today. a 29.6 inch low
over the upper great lakes this morning will nudge a warm front
toward the lake as it moves into the central great lakes this
afternoon. this low will slightly weaken to 29.7 inches as it passes
just southwest of lake tonight while nudging the warm front a bit
further east over the lake. the low then slide southeast into the
mid atlantic region saturday forcing the front back to the southwest
of the lake. a 30.2 inch area of high pressure will then build
across the lower great lakes saturday night through monday. a 29.4
inch area of low pressure over the great plains monday night, will
advance northeast into the upper great lakes later monday night into
tuesday morning while pushing an attendant warm front across the
lake. the 29.4 inch low will then continue northeast to james bay
tuesday night sending an attendant cold front across the lake.
