waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.
.synopsis...a high pressure ridge averaging 30.2 inches slides
eastward across the lower great lakes today. the ridge should exit
eastward on tuesday and allow a warm front to sweep northeastward
across the lake. a cold front should sweep eastward across the lake
on wednesday and be followed by a ridge averaging 30.1 inches and
building briefly from the upper great lakes. on thursday, the front
may shift northward to the lake, but then shift back south later in
the day as a weak low of 30.0 inches wobbles eastward across the
central great lakes. behind the low and front, a ridge averaging
30.2 inches should build from the upper midwest through friday.
