waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.synopsis...a ridge averaging 30.1 inches should affect the lake as 
the parent high pressure center moves from the western great lakes 
toward the central appalachians. the ridge should exit slowly 
eastward friday night through saturday and allow a warm front to 
drift northward across the lake. on sunday through tuesday, a weak 
trough averaging 29.9 inches should overspread our area generally 
from the west and a cold front should sweep eastward across the lake 
on tuesday. simultaneously, the future remnant low of isaias should 
wobble northeastward from near the lower ohio valley to atlantic 
waters south of nova scotia and weaken to 29.6 inches during sunday 
through tuesday.
