waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.synopsis...a 29.9 inch high over the upper mississippi valley 
will build east across the great lakes region through friday. a 
29.5 inch low near lake superior friday night will weaken as it 
tracks into southern quebec while sending a cold front through the
lakes. a 29.9 inch high will then build in saturday night and 
remain over the area through sunday. a 29.3 inch low will track 
into the central great lakes, causing showers to overspread the 
lake as the associated warm front tracks across the region.

high pressure 30.00 inches will briefly build over lake erie as a
cold front slows over the ohio valley today. the front will lift
north as a warm front friday and cross the lake friday night as
low pressure 20.60 inches tracks northeast across the upper
midwest. the low will sweep a cold front east across lake erie
saturday with the front lifting north as a warm front as low 
pressure 29.40 inches moves northeast from the central plains into
the mississippi valley sunday. the low will track across the 
central great lakes monday, likely pushing a cold front across the
lake.
