.synopsis...

a high pressure over the midwest will extend weak ridging of 30.1 
inches over the western part of the lake tonight while weak 
troughing of 30.0 inches slowly moves though the eastern half of the 
lake. these features remain in place on tuesday as a 30.3 inch high 
moves south of the area. a 29.8 inch low then moves over lower 
michigan on wednesday ahead of a secondary 29.8 inch low moving into 
lake superior later in the day. as the lows phase and continue east 
wednesday night into thursday, a weak remnant trough of 30.0 inches 
extends over the lake. after that, a 31.0 inch high builds from the 
canadian prairies into the northern plains thursday night through 
friday. this high builds into the upper midwest friday night into 
saturday as it weakens to 30.7 inches.
