a 29.7 inch low over the central plains this afternoon lifts a 30.0 
inch trough over lake superior. this trough lingers over the great 
lakes and slowly deepens with time early this week before the low 
pushes through at 29.6 inches on tuesday. as the low tracks along 
the st. lawrence seaway tuesday night, 30.3 inch high pressure 
builds over the northern plains, gradually building pressure over 
northern ontario to 30.6 inches by wednesday. by thursday, the high 
builds to 30.8 inches over northern quebec while a weak 29.9 inch 
low passes over the southern great lakes basin and a 29.3 inch low 
pressure organizes in the lee of the rockies.
