Don't know how it's going to turn out, but I love the juxtaposition of power
vs grace between James and Curry. Best Playoffs in a long long time.
I’d like to see GS win, but mostly I just like to watch good basketball!

fansided.com lists their pick for top ten shooters of all time. I agree with their top three:
1. Jerry West
2. Reggie Miller
3. Ray Allen
They list Nowitski at 4, Petrovic (.437 from 3 point range) 5, Gervin 6 (.504 lifetime shooting average), and Alex English (.507) 7th. It's kind of apples and oranges, since Jerry West did not play with a 3-point line.
Curry has eclipsed all other shooters for 3 points in a season and a playoff. Too early to crown him all-time best, but he is clearly the best combination of handles and shooting I've ever seen. By a lot.
Lucky to live in the Bay area this year and watch most of their games. |

My son in law was at the game yesterday. Reports are amazing. However, "Bread and Circuses" have the desired effect...
Warriors are a much smarter and better coached team for sure. If there were 5 Labron's and 5 Curry's I don't think the score would be close. Labron would kill him. |

Stoked for the Warriors! ...keep going...
Fan or not, they are a hell of a lot of fun to watch. |

It's an important time to remember Rick Barry who single handily brought home the title for the Warriors in 75', what a competitor, he could do it all and a great team player too. Widely disliked for his theatrics and intensity. The last guy to do free throws underhanded.
I lost a lot of interest in basketball after Larry Bird retired. Does anyone even do a set shot anymore? |

Is it any wonder that BB, who refers to Obama with a racial slur, brags about losing interest in basketball after Larry Bird retired? I need to take a shower early today.
Only someone watching the game with an abiding interest in the race of the players would attribute Golden State's last title to Rick Barry alone. Barry was a great player, and I went to a lot of Warriors games during that era. But Barry was 30 that year, and BB ignores the efforts of Jamaal Wilkes and Phil Smith, both rookies that year, who made the difference. Wilkes shot at a 0.442 clip, scoring a little more than 14 points per game. Barry shot 0.464. Phil Smith, who had the sweetest pull-up jumper, shot better than Barry--0.476.
Barry was a monster in his early years in the ABA, and was a great driver. But I will never forget sitting at the 6th game of the series with Phoenix and watching Barry quit on his team after a fight with Ricky Sobers in game 7. That year rookie Gus Williams, a brilliant player at point guard, joined the Warriors who had a monstrous season.
Crawl back under your rock. No one needs you to pay attention to either facts or the NBA finals. |

Only mac could turn an innocuous sports thread into a personal attack.
Also, we're in a drought, quit taking so many showers, if you are offended so easily, quit this forum and save some water. |

Liberals don't need to adhere to water rationing. They are too good for this inconvenience. |
