Hello All, I am looking for a sport to windsurf in the San Francisco bay area. I do not do waves, just plain windsurfing...any place to recommend?
Thanks |

Need more info - where in the bay? North west (Larksper), North East - Delta/Berkeley, West - 3rd and Coyote, South... best bet is to drive north... |

Dont bother with th eEas side of the Bay unless you dont mind narrow windows of good wind. Berkeley and Pt Isabel have been crappy as of late. Most days hour-hour and half window for good planing.
3rd, Coyote, Chrissy, and Candlestick have been the most consistent decent spots so far. Chrissy is probably the most challenging of the four...strong currents, ships, wind lines, cold.
Coyote is good for bump and jump as is 3rd.
Candlestick is great place to work on your jibes or just go fast.
Whats your skill level.
