So. Heart disease kills more than cancer. So, with the Isologic displayed here. We should stop worrying about finding cures for cancer.

Isobars

You know, I've been really worried about the high price of gasoline right now. So, I think you are on the right track in saying we shouldn't be discussion gun control right now.

Blimey C.B. You should be so lucky. Petrol over here has now topped £2 (2.51 dollars) a LITRE!. (11.5 dollars a gallon.)

You're quite right. What's cancer, World War 3, or who farted in the lift compared to that?

Yikes GT

That's enough to really think about every trip. Adjusted for inflation, fuel is about the same cost now in the US as when I graduated from college in 1981 and went to work as a young engineer. I drove a car that averaged about 40 MPG and commuted by bike. Even with that mileage, we carpooled everywhere. The US, now, it is rare to see folks even try and conserve.

An upside to high gas prices is that it makes folks think about the kind of vehicles they drive and what they do in them. I don't look to the oil and fuel refining industry coming to the rescue anytime soon. Contrary to the Republican BS being thrown about, the US being 100% self sufficient and not dependent on other global sources for oil isn't going to make gas any cheaper. That's not how it works.

During these times, I would hope that folks look to alternatives and invest big. The oil industry needs some stiff competition. As most thoughtful folks know, our future and the state of our environment depends on it.

Gee ... reckon they resent Biden not just inviting but bribing illegal aliens here when most of the ones being polled went to all the trouble to enter legally AND aren't being given the endless free stuff the illegals get, often at the legals' expense? Biden seems to think both groups are too stupid and/or ignorant understand that. I got news for him: even his more intelligent own party members understand the inequity and the lies, and the honest ones care.

Many of them also vote.

Gurgle,
Gas here in Portugal is running 1.9-2.0 euros per liter: about $8.12+ per gallon. It was around 1.8 per liter in Tenerife in February & I’m guessing it’s higher there now. Gas has always been much higher in Europe & Japan so when people in the U.S. start complaining about gas prices I just start singing “lah, lah, lah,….”
