If you own a blackberry or iPhone you know that you can access the iWindsurf website for free without paying even more fore wireless web access. So why do they even have that option?
What iWindsurf/Weatherflow should do is offer a free iphone, blackberry app that allows most smart phone users to use it to connect to their service. Or atleast make the wireless web free.
I still remember when annual access was 40 or so bucks per year for FX....
Thoughts? |

The iWindsurf iPhone and Desktop Wind apps are free and they kick butt.
RE "why do they have the wireless web option", here's the scoop:
the iWindsurf Wireless Web product predates the iPhone and most of today's smartphones by many, many years! It was initially set up to work on the early mobile web/wireless web-enabled cellphones around 2003 and it has been extremely useful using those types of networks. If you have an iPhone, etc that gets regular internet access through a web browser, then you might stick with FX membership.
The iPhone app is here:

the iWindsurf Desktop app is here -- another app worth trying out:

I'm calling BS here. WAP is nothing more than a web page formatted for a small screen... less info per page. absolutely zero additional cost for IW/Weatherflow.
So..with with wireless web, you're paying more for less! but, paying IW subscribers should be used to that concept by now. |

I'm a big fan of the wireless web version of iWindsurf.
I've used this on Palm Treo, BlackBerry, and now an iPhone - works well on almost all smartphones and since it's mostly text it's very fast.
However, I do agree that this service should be part of a normal FX membership - doesn't make sense to have to pay more for the same content formatted a different way.
