...areas of dense fog with visibility one nautical mile or less
through friday morning...
a shallow marine layer pushing south into the area will bring
areas of dense fog with visibility one nautical mile or less.
dense fog could impact harbors and inlets late tonight and early
friday morning...such as port san luis and morro bay.
mariners should be prepared for abrupt visibility changes down to
one nautical mile or less. reduce speeds and be on the lookout for
exposed rocks and other vessels...and use radar or gps navigation
if available.
mariners in harbor...especially those without radar...should
consider remaining in harbor as dense fog can obscure exposed
rocks and other vessels...including large ships in the shipping
lanes.
