low pressure 29.70 inches will pass from the northern great lakes
tonight through the eastern great lakes sunday. this will lift a
warm front across the lake tonight followed by a cold front 
sweeping across the lake sunday morning. high pressure 30.30 
inches will build over the lake sunday night into monday. another 
low pressure 29.70 inches will lift into the upper midwest 
tuesday, moving a warm front north early tuesday followed by a
strong cold front tuesday night into wednesday as the low lifts 
through the northern great lakes and deepens to 29.20 inches by 
late wednesday. a surface trough averaging 29.90 inches will 
linger in its wake through friday.

pressure of 29.7 inches progresses through lake superior. winds 
shift northwesterly tonight with the passage of a cold front. 
gusts up to 30 kt are expected over the open lake. 

high pressure around 30.1 inches briefly returns sunday. modest 
southerly winds will develop monday as low pressure of 28.7 
inches moves into the upper mississippi river valley. the low will
strengthen over minnesota and wisconsin on tuesday and cross lake
superior as a 29.4 inch low early wednesday morning. timing and
strength of this low remain uncertain, but a period of gale force
gusts is looking likely over lake michigan wednesday and thursday.
