waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.synopsis...
a stationary front south of lake erie extends westward into low 
pressure of 29.30 inches across the central midwest. this low 
shifts into the ohio valley tonight and tracks across lake 
michigan tomorrow morning. a cold front sweeps across the region 
quickly tomorrow with the parent low stalling over lake huron 
friday night. this low weakens to 30.00 inches saturday and sags 
south toward lake erie sunday. the low dissipates into a trough 
monday and remains across the lake as a clipper system tracks to
the north tuesday.
