waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.synopsis...a 29.3 inch surface low southeast of james bay this 
evening, will move to central quebec tuesday. a cold front will 
stall east of the lake through wednesday, then a frontal boundary 
will lift northward wednesday as a 29.5 wave of low pressure ripples 
along the front, with this wave passing just to the west of the lake 
wednesday night. this second low will deepen to 29.4 inches as it 
moves across southern quebec thursday. a 30.2 inch high will move 
across the ohio valley and mid-atlantic region thursday night 
through friday. a 29.6 inch surface low will pass across the lake 
friday night with a cold front, then shift east of the lake 
saturday.

.tuesday...south winds 5 to 10 knots becoming northeast. a chance
of rain showers from late morning on. waves 1 foot or less. 
.tuesday night...northeast winds 10 to 15 knots becoming east
15 to 20 knots. a chance of rain showers in the evening, then
rain showers with a chance of thunderstorms overnight. waves 1 to
3 feet building to 2 to 4 feet. 
.wednesday...east winds 15 to 20 knots becoming south. rain
showers with a chance of thunderstorms. waves 2 to 4 feet. 
.wednesday night...southwest winds 15 to 25 knots becoming west
to 30 knots. rain showers with a chance of thunderstorms in the
evening, then rain showers likely overnight. waves 2 to 4 feet
