light and variable winds continue tonight under 30.2 inch high
pressure. meanwhile, weak low pressure around 30.0 inches over
northern minnesota will dig southward and weak low pressure around
30.0 inches over southern missouri will lift northeastward. these
systems will merge over the great lakes saturday, and will deepen
to 29.5 inches as it lifts into eastern ontario saturday night.
expect west-northwest winds to increase saturday afternoon through
saturday night as high pressure around 30.6 inches builds across
the central plains. gale force gusts are expected, especially
across eastern portions of the open waters, and a gale watch is 
in effect from late saturday night through sunday morning. winds  
gradually ease sunday evening into monday as high pressure moves
into the ohio valley. will see southerly flow return by tuesday

as it lifts into eastern ontario/quebec later saturday night into 
sunday. given the incoming high pressure right behind the 
departing low pressure, expecting west-northwesterly winds to
