a complex of thunderstorms is currently moving east over the
middle third of the lake. these storms should clear east of the
lake over the next couple of hours. 

southerly winds will then turn southwesterly today as a cold front
moves over the region stalls south of lake michigan tonight, with
wind then becoming northeasterly tonight. another area of low 
pressure around 29.6 inches is forecast to develop over the 
plains on sunday, lifting into the upper midwest into the start of
next week. as the low lifts northeast a warm front will lift
north over the lake, leading to east and southeast winds sunday,
then increasing southerly winds and additional shower and 
thunderstorm potential through monday night/tuesday. then high 
pressure looks to build in midweek behind the early week low 
pressure system.
