waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.synopsis...
a high pressure ridge averaging 30.00 inches exits slowly eastward
from the lake erie region today. during tonight through friday, a
potent low should wobble northeastward from the upper mississippi
valley to southern quebec and weaken to 29.80 inches. accordingly,
a warm front should sweep northeastward across lake erie tonight 
before a cold front sweeps southeastward across the lake on 
friday. behind the cold front, a ridge averaging 30.10 inches 
should build briefly from the northern great lakes and vicinity 
friday night. on saturday, another low should wobble northeastward
from near the lower ohio valley to lake huron, deepen to 29.30 
inches, and allow a warm front to sweep northeastward across lake 
erie before a cold front sweeps generally eastward across the 
lake. behind the cold front, a trough averaging 29.90 inches 
should linger over lake erie on sunday. during sunday night
through tuesday, a ridge averaging 30.30 inches should affect lake
erie as the ridge axis moves from the upper midwest toward the 
north atlantic.
