waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.synopsis...
a stationary front will drift south of lake erie today with a trough
of low pressure at 29.60 inches across the upper midwest. low
pressure of 29.40 inches will enter the ohio valley tonight and move
across lake michigan overnight. this will push the stationary front
eastward across the region overnight, with a cold front moving through 
quickly behind tomorrow morning. this low will move across lake huron
friday night, becoming stationary and weakening to 29.80 inches over 
lake erie saturday. this low will dissipate into a trough and remain 
across the lake through monday, as a cold front drops south out of 
canada and through the great lakes through tuesday.
