I've been trying for years with no luck. Grubbies, Shakas etc no problem. Something about Flakas just doesn't make sense to me. |

most people backwind too hard thinking the pressure will cause everything to rotate. the mast slices forward into the apparent wind but gets very light backwind pressure and a lot of the pop/rotation comes a lot from the hips.
If you watch people who do them one handed or no-handed, you can see that the sail doesn't power up but stays rather neutral. Even in say an air flaka where you might need a quick hit of power to help whip, that power is turned on and feathered out quickly _________________ Kevin Kan
