Hi Gang,
Long ago when the marine layer was much deeper Larkspur Landing was one of the most popular windsurfing sites in the Bay Area. There were actually 3 windsurfing shops in the area.
Back then it was common for Larkspur Landing to be buried in fog most mornings then as it cleared the wind ripped as SSW wind blew in through the Muir Gap.
But as the average marine layer depth decreased Larkspur became less reliable and the crowds thinned. Larkspur never had any significant swell but it usually had farily steady winds. This blog talks about some recent up and down conditions at Larkspur:
