O'Neill Psycho 1 4/3 or O'Neill Heat 4/3 Thoughts Please

I hear ya on trying them on first. I tried on several Psychos before buying mine. Even with help, I couldn't even get the one their size chart recommended on in less than 20 sweat-soaked minutes, and getting it off was worse. THAT'S why several of the ones on the rack were inside out; they were drying after customers tried them on.

I can get my 2XL on with the video's help, in a cool room, when it and I are dry, after losing 20 pounds of fat and muscle to cancer meds. Wet suit or damp skin, fugheddaboutit. I wear marathon wetsuit-quick-change tights under it to help get it on and off. No baggy sections anywhere.

If their 2XLShort Psychos in their size chart actually existed, I'd be lovin' it.

If you want a easy on off wetsuit and don’t want a dry suit try the hotline ultra hot combo zipper bicep to bicep warm as toast in 30,s air and water can get on and off myself easy as pie

Since I just bought an O'Neill Psycho Tech 4/3 back zip wetsuit, I thought I would comment on sizing, which is obviously an issue with O'Neill. They say:

Large - 5'10"-6' 170-109 lbs 41-43.5 chest 33"-35" waist
XL - 5'10"-6'1" 190-210 lbs 43.5-46 chest 35"-37" waist

I am 6' 165 lbs 41" chest 32" waist

I ordered the Large, but it was too snug and very tight in the neck. The length may have been a bit short causing the pull on the neck. I then ordered an XL and it fits nicely. No bagginess anywhere. Still snug and better in the neck. Not hard to put on. It is a keeper. My last two suits were O'neill hybrid dry suits, which they don't make anymore. The last one is leaking like crazy, and the glue/taping is coming apart around the zipper. I have reglued and it's still a problem.

The company is EVO and they have been a pleasure to work with. It will cost me $7.00 (shipping) to return the Large suit and receive a credit for the purchase.

Thanks for the info, it reaffirms what happened to me. I ordered the size Large
Psycho Tech. It was waay too small which is ludicrous, being 5'8", 160, muscular upper, with stick legs. Returned it right away.
In another month or so if I can even find one, I will try a XL. Tough to think about it now with the coldest weather of the season coming here in New England!

Considering my previous posts in his thread, don't overlook the XXL. The guy who bought my first XXL and loves it is about 5'6".

Recently bought an O'Neill Heat 3/2. Size chart indicated XLS would be right for me. It was not. At least if you consider getting into it important. I had to go with a 2XL.

Regarding Iso's comment. I was concerned that the XL might be too big, but indeed, the XXL may have been okay, since the XL is snug.

5'10" 3/4, 160 lbs., M for surfing, L for windsurfing.
Surf suits are not made to accommodate old, fat dudes.
And they don't fit like worn out sweaters.

Well, for sure, I can fit into a Small Tall for cold water surfing....or an XL for easy on and off windsurfing.
That's a fair range.
