Having read the New Yorker article, I find that no Republicans, other than Theodore Roosevelt, have been champions for breaking up monopolies and trusts that crush the heart of a competitive rural America. I have to wonder why the majority of rural America deeply supports Donald Trump and the Republican party. |

Culture war. Obama was hated as much for his education as his color and politics. The offshoring and automation of manufacturing hit men without a college degree hardest. |

Hi Steve,
It's because they are angry, and he knew how to monopolize on that anger.
As to why they are angry, I have my opinions, which I'd share if there's interest,
but it's only conjecture.
