The Lost Sandy Hook Sensor - Any Updates Iwindsurf?

The Sandy Hook sensor was taken down several years back during the demo and reconstruction of the park pavilions. Are there any current plans to replace this sensor on any of the new structures out at Sandy Hook? Yes there is the Sandy Hook North sensor at the Coast Guard Station but it's wind readings mysteriously become very spotty in the afternoons when its most needed - sometimes it doesn't provide an updated wind reading for several hours. Is there anything local sailors and kiters can do to help get a new sensor set up at the park?
