Coulter is a horrible person, I have watched her justify Trump's lies for years, and rationalize his stupid wall. She is often as cruel and smug as Trump.
Trump's competence was always the question, and doing things with cruel folks at the border rather than with political coalitions in Congress means that virtually nothing but the tax cuts will be left.
I agree that Trump could have organized a consensus over our broken immigration policies to achieve meaningful reform. There was a bi-partisan proposal that came out of the Senate that was a platform, and Trump couldn't have calmed down the most extreme of the copperheads to toughen that up a bit but still secure the votes. No. Put kids in cages and try to back out of a legal settlement was the approach.
Same problem with regulation. I agree that there is a thicket of regulations that could be simplified, and many don't provide a commensurate benefit. The only marginally competent people working on this were the oil company lobbyists. But in many many cases they went after the wrong things, and were so sloppy in process that a large share of their efforts were overturned or incomplete. A combination of incompetence, hubris, and overreach.
For Coulter to finally admit that she has been worshipping a false god, and to admit that he is a user not a doer is small consolation for the damage she did justifying his lying, incompetence, and cruelty. |

ISO’s response raises an interesting question; who is truly a RINO? The Republican party is supposed to uphold the Constitution and believe in the “rule of law”. By definition wouldn’t ISO & the rest of the Trumpanzees who attempted sedition to violate millions of legal Constitutional votes be the RINO’s and those who opposed the attempted coup be the true Republican’s?

It is unclear who will be a defense lawyer for Mr. Trump, given that many attorneys have privately said they won't represent him.
This is all getting a little weird. Giuliani says he's working on impeachment, then says the opposite. Trump tells him he won't be on the team, except it's not at all clear who is on the team. |

"Who would want to be part of an organization that at its core is built on lies and racism and know-nothingism? It's just not a healthy political organization."
Comey, who led the FBI from 2013 until Trump fired him in 2017, became a vocal critic of the now-former president and has repeatedly called on Republicans to move on from him.
As many called for Trump to face retribution for his role in the deadly riot by his supporters at the U.S. Capitol earlier this month, Comey said in an interview on "Today" last week that while he believes it is "important" for Trump to be impeached, the worst punishment would be to ignore him completely once he leaves office.
"I still think it would be better for this country if we move past a fallen and corrupt president, and turned off the television lights on him, which in some ways, would be the greatest punishment he could imagine," Comey said.
The House last week voted to impeach Trump, charging him with inciting the violence at the Capitol with his repeated unproven claims that the 2020 presidential election was "stolen" from him through widespread voter fraud. |

On the weekend after New Year's Eve, Clark reportedly met with the president to discuss his strategy. Clark then called Rosen on Sunday to inform him that the president intended to remove Rosen from the post and replace him with Clark. Rosen demanded to hear the news directly from the president, according to the report.
The department's senior leaders allegedly called one another and agreed that if Rosen was ousted, they would resign en masse.
When the president met with Rosen and Clark, the two presented their arguments. Two officials compared the scene to an episode of The Apprentice, according to the New York Times. In the end, the president decided not to fire Rosen, apparently being swayed by the idea that doing so would bring chaos to the department and possible recriminations from those in his own party.
Trump and the Department of Justice did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Clark denied that he was part of any plot to remove Rosen.
He said, "There was a candid discussion of options and pros and cons with the president. It is unfortunate that those who were part of a privileged legal conversation would comment in public about such internal deliberations, while also distorting any discussions."
