Berkeley Pt. Isabel "heat bubble" issues today.

Hi Gang,

Today you may have noticed all the warnings in the forecast about the Berkeley and Pt. Isabel likely thermal trough (aka "heat bubble") issues making for UP AND DOWN winds or a major fade and mild rebuild.

This is a pattern common in Southern California and it will be increasingly common for East Bay sites and sometimes Waddell.

This graphic captures the main players in this battle between the inbound marine layer associated winds and the heat bubble expanding from the Central Valley. It also has wind graphs showing what happened yesterday in this pattern.
