Neoprene mittens with open free palms.
Or wear a 4/3 wetsuit.
Down to 51 degrees.
Sealed booties and some kind of hood.

what is your water temp? our's (at Isabella) is still 47 degrees - a bit bracing... I may need to go on a road trip!

Eva, I just got a O'Neill Psycho Tech 5.5/4 and it is the toastier wet suit ever. Basically sealed, ultra-comfy and flexible, with a pair of booties I get in the water without any problem!

NB They are on sale right now at Big Winds

thanks for that! I sail in a 3/2 with added layers as needed, and am generally fine - except for my hands: have not found a solution that leaves me with a decent grip on my booms. The last glove-trial was almost comical: I'd be good in a straight line, but dropped the rig every single time, coming out of a jibe...
o well, spring seems in the air!

I use atlas 370 nitrile gloves, $6, sticky, and they add some warmth Very Happy

Lopez water temp probably around 50 now. Tried using my 2 mil booties but had to switch back to the 5 mil ocean pair. Air temp has been nice enough to use a short sleeve long leg 2 mil suit most of the time with sunny 70's, but did use the 4/3 once about a week ago in low to mid 60's.

Yes, Lopez is still open as of yesterday. However, limits on vehicle and boat trailer numbers are being enforced. It hasn't been that busy yet.

How is Lopez now? Looks like the water level has been steady at 51% or so and the wind is improving. Thanks

Right now there is plenty of water for windsurfing. Foiling on a 90cm mast is ok but you need to stay up wind. Some weed tops just below the surface. The wind this week should be good as long as the heat bubble doesn't extend over the lake and the north wind isn't to strong...
