So sorry to hear about Steve Gates passing. I had known him through his shop for 25 years. Great guy!! Best wishes to his family.

Steve and his co-horts were highly responsible to my learning and improving in this sport. It was one of the greatest joys of my life. Thank you, Steve. God bless your family and friends. Rest in Peace.

Here is a drone video of Steve Gates SUP memorial on the Hood River waterfront. It was shot by renown sports videographer Ron Parameter.

It was a good way to remember a person who did so much for the sports of windsurfing, kiting and SUPing.
