Hi Guys. I have a friend that is trying to cobble together a rig for an older large (310 ltr) board that he found while cleaning up the Ventura River bottom. Looking for a sail/rig in the 6.0 to 6.5 range. If you've got old stuff that you need out of your garage please let me know. This is a good guy. He works for the Ventura Land Trust helping to clean up the areas in and around Ventura. I'm in the Pasadena and Valencia areas and he's in the Ventura area. Let me know what you've got to contribute. Thanks!

Hmmm. I don't know. I'll ask. My guess is that it is an old E box (deeper US box for you younger kids...).

I don't know how anyone can sail a 100% sinker. Shocked

Found on the bottom? A 310 liter board that sinks weighs over 600 pounds. Of what use is that? Go to Craigslist and find a complete board and rig of that vintage and size but in good shape for $11.23 or thereabouts. Heck, look a little harder and find someone who'll pay him to haul it away.

We call it the river bottom, but, it's mostly dry. The nick name for it is the Hobo Jungle as it accommodates a lot of housing challenged folks. No telling how it got there. Props to my buddy for up cycling his find and not just tossing it.

I'm out of town, but will be back this weekend. I might have a mast and sail, maybe a universal. But he shouldn't start with a 6 meter sail on a board that size. I might have a 5.3 or?

Thanks Malibu. He's a big guy 6'-2" ish so yes 5.3 to 6.0 is probably a better range. Let me know what you've got.

Thanks!
