I am heading to the Jupiter area for Winter Break and wonder about going windsurfing nearby. I am an intermediate sailor but will have none of my gear there, travelling with wife and 2 small kids. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

Believe you are going to have problems renting gear there. It is too bad, because I really think that there would be a market for it there.

I know because I was there working for a week and could not find anything. Next time if I have to go to West Palm I will bring my gear.

The closest rentals that I am aware of are Adventure Sports in Miami, Calema in Merritt Island or Progressive Sports in Daytona. None of them would be considered "close".

If you find gear you can sail the ocean at Jupiter inlet, which is a more advanced location, or sail the Intracoastal at the A1A bridge in Stuart which is more intermediate. Just watch the current and boat traffic.
