Had a bit of a swim across from Swell after a broken mast base tendon. Board went east in the wind - rig stayed behind as I swam to shore - thank you lifeguard training and Andy and his daughter for a final lift along their OC after swimming half the Columbia. The board is a fanatic Freewave 85. Sail is a Northwave 3.7 Green —-think I’ll make a habit of wearing my PFD |

Your board has been towed by the kite-lesson-jetski to the cove at The Hatchery.
People worried about the sailor. Glad to know you're fine. |

Glad you are safe. Out of curiosity...did your base have one of these? https://chinooksailing.com/collections/mast-base-parts-hardware/products/safety-strap-rubber-tendon-joint |

I saw what looked like a green rig on the Oregon shore opposite Cheap yesterday afternoon - well inside of the stumps.
Maybe that's what Wyatt saw yesterday? http://www.iwindsurf.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=34378
Glad you made it back okay.
Don't you fix tendons for a living? |

So long as the rig has a US base cup, not a Euro pin, which has ropes.
So each of us have ac 50 % chance of being wrong or right. _________________ K4 fins

Got the board thanks to the jet ski kite teacher - I’d like to thank the savior personally— I do fix tendons but only the people kind - usually don’t almost drown doing it ~~~ |
