How can firing Comey obstruct justice if it doesn't, as he stated on the record, affect the investigation?

are you speaking of Mueller as he asked/ordered several people to fire people to end the investigation by someone he does not control. none would do it. then he told/ordered once the investigation was closer don Megan to lie to investigators about his order to do the firing. why do you thing that the dems are trying to get a court order for mcgan to testify and trump is ordering him not to testify? the minute mcgan testifies trump is impeached for obstruction, very clear case of the dozen or so.
planning to rob a bank is a crime, just the planning. same with so many other crimes. if you payed attention, there are three elements that need to be proven in a court for obstruction..

here is where after a year of discussion Trump would not allow himself to be interviewed, and he would only take questions in written form and not anything that related to obstruction of justice. Again he was not co-operating. And the questions on russian connections to the trump and his people he was caught lying. And note these answers were under oath.
This is to cover up his and his peoples' involvement with Russia. This is a year after he and his people had already been caught lying to authorities over 200 times with their involvement with Russia. Again some already going to jail or indicted and he still lies about his involvement with Russia.

note when asked Mueller said Cohen was credible, but when asked if trump was credible he could not state the same.
