Slingshot's manual, setup videos, and some dealer riders insist that almost everyone should have their I-76 foils in the A (rearmost) position. NO one else around here agrees, recommending instead the B position for any skill level. (Wizard 125 and 175 pounds, if it matters.)

Opinions?

Got mine in back position and have a small shim under the front of the rear wing to bring the balance point back a bit.

I agree, it does things other wings can’t match. Upwind angle, glide through holes, pump and surf down wind. It can be driven fast and hard with ease.

I made a new position between A and B to dial mine in. Basically B shifted back 2”

I want to be able to ride downwind swells. The H2 is just a bit unstable right at stall so carving them with it is a challenge, plus I have to rig bigger than I'd like. Tempted by the 84cm but I'd like a little more speed.
If it suddenly makes me a gybe master than I'm extra happy but I doubt it will.

I may also try it on a SUP with one of those silly inflatable wings some day for use while traveling.

The H2 +84cm wing is a good combo.

The 76 will replace the H2 and come close to being as light wind friendly as the 84cm. If you are a big guy and or sail in marginal conditions the 84 may be the way to go.

I'm neither huge nor sailing often in marginal conditions, so I'm sticking with the 76cm. Plus my H2 is falling apart.

I have a 160 levitator and 76 wing and weigh 220 lbs. Tried B position at first and found I would foil out too much. Moved wing to A position and then I could sail comfortably, with more rear foot pressure.I wish I had started in A position like slingshot suggested. Foil mounted as far back as possible.

I have the 84cm, the H2 and the H4 (batwing). I thought I'd be swapping out for different conditions but I just really love the Infinity 84cm.

It stays in control, doesn't overfoil and is just a lot of fun in the swell. I may try the H4 out a little more if the wind picks up but lately I'm just really happy with the range of the 84cm.

I don't see how you can use the A position for anything but SUP or kiting. That would center the wing under your back foot. Even B seems kind of far back on a regular board. The H2 likes C.

Possibly, 76 is lower aspect so wong needs to be further back.
Recheck Kevin Kan's reco on settings.
