So you see no advantage of a multi fin. Is it a fad, my first Tri was 2008, long fad.
If life is easier on a single , and you find it technically reaching on other than a single.
Then yes KIS. _________________ K4 fins

no one in my neck of the woods has upwind planing power more than me. experience with lots of TOW leads me to believe that maui specific kits do not adapt to onshore conditions. who gives one flying crap about turning on a wave if one cannot get out? catch one? etc.
all this talk about multi fins is a waste. rig friggin big, and get on the water. my FSW kits give me oceans of planing power. so what if i lose 5% in turning????
OR, my planing long board, etc.....
you guys have read it all before, and most reject it. only to get rejected in the surf. _________________ www.aerotechsails.com

Formed before having the evidence for its truth or usefullness.
Preconceived.
Evos have many transformations. Twins are rare now, as the quad is better. _________________ K4 fins

Bottom line, just get the med 16.5's, install them, and rig .7 bigger for onshore wave conditions.
And still plan to dig the windward rail in between waves. |

At its introduction Quatro had 2 twins, the Tempo and Rhythm. After Review of the original Quatro specs what the board is supposed to do, etc, I found no mention that it’s recommended as a twin.
The OP questions relate not to a single , nor tri, nor twin. |
2012 I believe.

Succinct and likely accurate, thanks. |

I like the tri and twinser setups, but 4 of my sub 86 liter boards are singles.
I can ride at stall speeds and snap sharper turns on multis.
My tri goes as fast as my singles sub 95 liters, when powered, and still allow me to stay in the straps and hooked in after bad landings.
Just another tool, but you gotta recognise it's strength and weaknesses. |

Some people need suspenders others dont wear a belt. I'm usually not sailing in conditions that require a lot of fins. My small board has 3 and I like it more than what it replaced but can't be sure it's because of the 2 extra fins. Really wishing the OP can improve his board and enjoy it. IPA or RIS, your choice. |
