ya like the media is even covering this...

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/ghislaine-maxwell-says-donald-trump-gave-her-big-boost-during-prosecution/ar-AA133hV9?cvid=8b862bf77d304a68f32e0ab43fff5c86&ocid=winp2sv1plustaskbarhover

Ghislaine Maxwell Says Donald Trump Gave Her 'Big Boost' During Prosecution

Quote:
Donald Trump "dared, while others didn't" to express well wishes to Ghislaine Maxwell giving her a "big boost" during her prosecution for sex trafficking, the jailed socialite said in an interview.

Former U.S. President Donald Trump, seen at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) on August 6, 2022, expressed well wishes for Ghislaine Maxwell in July 2020. Inset, Trump is photographed alongside Melania Trump, Jeffrey Epstein and Maxwell in Mar-a-Lago in February 2000.

The former president was asked about Maxwell and whether she might name names during a press conference in July 2020, shortly after her arrest by the FBI.

Quoted by The Guardian, he replied: "I don't know—I haven't really been following it too much. I just wish her well, frankly. I have met her numerous times over the years, especially since I lived in Palm Beach, and I guess they lived in Palm Beach. But I wish her well, whatever it is."

Maxwell expressed her gratitude for Trump's comments in an interview with Daphne Barak for an upcoming CBS-Paramount Plus special, saying: "We knew each other and mingled in the same circles, in New York, Palm Beach. I was very grateful when he wished me well after (the arrest). He got bad media for it, but he dared, while others didn't.

"I was honored [Trump] remembered me. Well, he is known to say what he thinks. It gave me a big boost," Maxwell added.

The comments by Trump, who was still in office at the time, raised eyebrows and led to speculation he might have considered pardoning her.

Two More Women Sue Epstein’s Estate for Sex Abuse at ‘Opulent’ Mansion

The lawsuits are the latest to arrive under New York’s Adult Survivors Act, which provides a one-year window for adult survivors of sexual abuse to file claims regardless of whether the statute of limitations has expired. That window closes next November.

One of the accusers, referred to under the pseudonym “Naomi Doe,” alleges that she was recruited into giving Epstein massages at his Upper East Side townhouse in 2005—the same year Epstein was under investigation for molesting minors in Florida.

The complaint says Naomi, then 20, was enlisted “under the false pretense that she would be providing a legitimate body massage” and that she was offered $300 for the visit, despite having no experience with massage therapy.

Once Naomi was inside Epstein’s room, the filing states, the financier began to assault her and ignored her when she voiced discomfort with his actions. “Throughout the duration of the sexual encounter,” the lawsuit says, Naomi “found herself trapped in Jeffrey Epstein’s large mansion under the impression that there was no feasible or safe means of escape.”

Naomi “observed the opulence of the mansion and the appearance of individuals with authority, which collectively facilitated her further cooperation with Jeffrey Epstein,” the lawsuit continues, adding that Epstein assaulted Naomi 10 more times over a span of months. The assaults escalated from forcible touching to rape, the complaint says.

Meanwhile, in her own suit, a woman identified as “Mia Doe” says that she was 18 in 2003 when a friend recruited her into giving Epstein a massage. The complaint says that when Mia arrived at Epstein’s lair, “because of its grandeur and opulence, she believed that the building was likely some type of professional massage parlor.”

“Once inside of the massage room with her friend, Jeffrey Epstein entered and removed his clothing,” the lawsuit says. According to the filing, Mia was “immediately uncomfortable” and “got upset and asked her friend what was going on.”

The friend then “begged” Mia to massage Epstein and to comply with whatever she or Epstein told her to do, the suit alleges.

The lawsuit says that Epstein “grew outwardly angry” with Mia’s friend when Mia refused to obey Epstein’s orders and demanded the friend “do something to force [her] to comply.” Epstein was so irate that Mia was concerned for her friend, the filing adds.

Epstein allegedly then began sexually touching Mia and refused to stop. After a struggle, the lawsuit says, Mia “was finally able to break free from his grasp and run to the door of the massage room to leave as Epstein continued to yell at [her] friend.” After Mia escaped from the mansion, she never returned, the filing states.

The pair of lawsuits allege sexual battery, sexual assault, negligent infliction of emotional distress, and intentional infliction of emotional distress and name the co-executors of Epstein’s estate, Darren Indyke and Richard Kahn, as defendants.

“Thanks to the New York legislature’s decision to do the right thing for sexual abuse survivors, young women who were victimized by Jeffrey Epstein have one more chance to receive the justice that they deserve,” said Brittany Henderson, a partner at the firm Edwards Pottinger LLC, which represents the accusers.

“We have filed these lawsuits because regardless of your age at the time of the abuse, sexual predators should always be held accountable,” Henderson told The Daily Beast. “For the next year, we will continue to stand beside our clients in their quest for justice and we encourage all other survivors, of Jeffrey Epstein or any other predator in the state of New York, to do the same.”

Naomi Doe and Mia Doe’s legal actions aren’t the only ones filed under the Adult Survivors Act to accuse Epstein of sexual abuse.

Last month, Cheri Pierson filed a complaint alleging Epstein arranged for billionaire Leon Black to rape her at Epstein’s New York townhouse. Epstein’s estate, as well as Black, are defendants in the case.

The complaints come on the heels of a recent settlement between the U.S. Virgin Islands and Epstein’s estate, which has agreed to pay the government $105 million to make up for the millions in tax benefits his financial companies received while running a sex-trafficking operation on his private island.

They also arrived the same day a Manhattan federal court unsealed another cache of records related to Epstein’s sex ring. The secret filings, which are part of a lawsuit Virginia Roberts Giuffre filed against Epstein’s accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell in 2015, have been released to the public in installments since 2019.

On Tuesday, the documents included a deposition from Sarah Ransome, a survivor of Epstein’s abuse who detailed how the financier “lent out” girls in his orbit to his powerful male friends. “He samples the girls, he has friends come over to New York or the island and they… get to pick one which they want to be with.”

Jeffrey Epstein said he stopped hanging out with Trump 'when he realized Trump was a crook,' according to his brother

Jeffrey Epstein hinted at his fallout with Donald Trump in an unaired interview, according to his brother.
"He stopped hanging out with Trump when he realized Trump was a crook," Mark Epstein told Insider.
Trump and Jeffrey Epstein were friends for years, and the nature of their fallout remains hazy.
Jeffrey Epstein said in an unaired interview that he distanced himself from former President Donald Trump after realizing Trump was "a crook," according to his brother, Mark Epstein.

Mark Epstein told Insider he viewed a clip of the interview, conducted by Trump's former White House advisor Steve Bannon, after his brother forwarded it to him in the spring of 2019.

At the time, Bannon was conducting filmed interviews with the now-dead pedophile financier. Bannon sent Jeffrey Epstein a Dropbox link to a clip, which he forwarded to his brother. The link is no longer active, according to Mark.

"Jeffrey showed me the link to one of these interviews," Mark Epstein said. "And in that interview, Jeffrey said he stopped hanging out with Trump when he realized Trump was a crook."

Insider has not been able to independently view the video. Bannon could not be reached for comment.

Jeffrey Epstein was arrested in July 2019 on sex-trafficking charges and died in jail several weeks later while awaiting trial. A compensation fund formed after his death concluded he sexually abused at least 136 people overall.

Epstein and Trump were reportedly acquaintances between the 1980s and 2000s. The two ran in elite Manhattan social circles, and Epstein's home in Palm Beach was a short drive from Trump's Mar-a-Lago club, where he was a frequent guest. Footage obtained by NBC News in 1992 shows them partying together, talking about women, and cracking jokes.

Virginia Giuffre, one of Epstein's accusers, has testified that his associate Ghislaine Maxwell first picked her up at Mar-a-Lago when she was 16 years old before introducing her to Epstein. At Maxwell's own criminal trial, in 2021, one accuser testified that Maxwell introduced her to Trump at Mar-a-Lago when she was 14 years old. Other accusers said Maxwell and Epstein often namedropped Trump.

The nature of the fallout between Epstein and Trump, however, remains hazy. The Miami Herald reported that Epstein was booted as a member from Mar-a-Lago in 2007 after he harassed the daughter of a member. Trump has publicly said little about his relationship with Epstein, although he said "I wish her well" upon the news of Maxwell's arrest.

For the documentary project, Bannon recorded more than 16 hours of footage, Mark Epstein said. In November of 2018, the Miami Herald ran a series detailing how Jeffrey Epstein secured a secret, lenient plea deal with federal prosecutors in Floria 2007, even after law enforcement concluded at the time that he had sexually abused more than 30 girls.

"Steve Bannon was working with Jeffrey to try to help Jeffrey rehabilitate his reputation," Mark Epstein told Insider.

Bannon and Epstein had become close in 2017, after Bannon left the White House, according to the journalist Michael Wolff. Bannon lived lavishly off Epstein's vast wealth, using his Paris apartment and butler in 2018.

Bannon released a trailer in 2021 for his apparent documentary about Epstein, titled "The Monsters." The entire documentary has not yet been released.

Both Bannon and Trump now have their own legal issues.

The Manhattan district attorney's office has pending criminal charges against Bannon, alleging he participated in a scam nonprofit organization that raised funds to build a wall on the US-Mexico border. Trump pardoned Bannon on federal charges for the same scheme before he left office. Bannon's lawyers in the federal case are suing him for allegedly not paying his bills. Bannon was also found guilty last year of contempt of Congress for defying a House January 6 committee hearing subpoena.

Trump, for his part, is facing a potential indictment from the Manhattan district attorney's office for a hush-money scheme ahead of the 2016 election, a rape case headed to trial in April, and a litany of other legal woes.

GOP Strategist and Epstein Fanboy Convicted of Teen Sex Trafficking

Quote:
Anton Lazzaro, a wannabe playboy on Instagram who used his riches to pump up the Minnesota Republican Party and recruit teenage girls for sex, was convicted by a Minnesota jury Friday of sex trafficking minors.

At trial, prosecutors laid out how Lazzaro preyed on “broken” girls—to which his defense lawyer countered were simply girls he was trying to “fix.” The victims testified that Lazzaro would take them to his swanky Minneapolis condo, where he’d ply them with Everclear, the strongest liquor on the market.

Lazzaro paid tens of thousands of dollars to have sex with high school students, and even used one as a recruiter. Days after his arrest in August 2021, the feds caught up with that associate, Gisela Castro Medina, and eventually turned her into a witness against him.

Lazzaro remained defiant from jail, borrowing a lame conservative talking point and chalking up the case to a political prosecution for his ties to the GOP.

Federal Election Commission records show Lazzaro donated to Republicans for nearly a decade, with his contributions ramping up sharply in 2016. He also played a bit part in former President Donald Trump’s anti-democratic attempts to remain in the White House after losing in 2020, as Lazzaro was on the shortlist of the Minnesota’s GOP slate of “alternate” presidential electors who could substitute for any missing delegates, according to state election records.

Online, he posed as a wealthy entrepreneur, sharing pictures of himself on private jets, waving stacks of cash, and driving shirtless in his red Ferrari. And he touted his Republican connections, using his personal website to display a picture of him alongside Trump, then-Vice President Mike Pence, and multiple television appearances on Fox News.

The court case, which lasted a year-and-a-half, underwent bizarre twists as Lazzaro turned on his lawyers and briefly represented himself, wasting time trying to get his Ferrari back instead of mounting an intelligent defense.

The Daily Beast first revealed in 2021 that the FBI had been investigating Lazzaro and had raided his apartment. When asked about his preying on teenage girls weeks before his arrest, he threatened to dox this reporter and run an online harassment campaign.

The Daily Beast also exclusively reported how a former Lazzaro business associate serving time in prison on drug charges tried to report details about Lazzaro’s predatory behavior to the FBI, only to be reprimanded by Bureau of Prison guards.

That ex-felon, Ben Freedland, finished serving his prison sentence and attended the trial. He told The Daily Beast he was most disturbed by Lazzaro’s strange obsession with another convicted predator who sexually abused teenage girls: Jeffrey Epstein.

“One of the wildest things to come out at trial is a social media post that Tony made on the one year anniversary of Jeff Epstein’s death: a picture of them together with a caption that said, ‘rest in peace brother,’” Freedland said.

New Documents Reveal How Frequently Larry Summers, Woody Allen And More Met With Jeffrey Epstein

Quote:

Black’s political donations tapered off amid an ever-expanding public relations crisis. Black, whose net worth Forbes estimates at $7.7 billion, is under fire for transferring over $50 million to Epstein after he was convicted in 2008 of soliciting prostitution from an underage girl. That conviction became the subject of a November 2018 Miami Herald investigation, which found that Epstein negotiated what many believe to be an overly lenient plea deal with U.S. attorneys, after dozens of underage girls had accused him of sexual abuse. Black faced questions about his relationship with Epstein in July 2019, when the New York Post first reported that Epstein served on the board of the Black Foundation for four years following his 2008 conviction. Black has “deep regret” for his ties to Epstein, according to an October 12 letter to investors, and stressed that the disgraced financier never did any business with Apollo.

Black’s ties to Epstein have begun to have financial ramifications for Apollo Management. One of the country’s biggest pension funds, the Pennsylvania Public School Employees’ Retirement System, said in an emailed statement to Forbes that it would not make any new investments in Apollo. (The Financial Times first reported this news on Wednesday.) The decision was made the day after the New York Times revealed the $50 million Epstein bombshell on October 12, fund spokesman Steve Esack told Forbes. And Cambridge Associates, a leading investment consulting firm, reportedly might stop recommending Apollo to its clients. Representatives for Cambridge Associates declined Forbes’ request to confirm this.

Black wrote in a July 2019 email to employees that the money he paid Epstein was for “professional services to my family partnership and related family entities, involving tax, estate planning and philanthropic advice.” Reports surfaced this week that Black requested on Tuesday that the Apollo board hire an outside law firm to review his business dealings with Epstein. According to the Wall Street Journal, the review is Black’s attempt to clear his name, and would hopefully result in renewed investor confidence.

Representatives for Black and Apollo did not respond to questions from Forbes about his political giving and what he hopes the outside review of his business dealings with Epstein might accomplish.

Meanwhile, Apollo cofounder Marc Rowan and his wife, Carolyn, made at least $1 million in political donations this year to the Trump Victory PAC, a joint fundraising effort between the president’s reelection campaign and the Republican National Committee, outstripping Black. NBC News reported Wednesday that back in April, Rowan emailed Jared Kushner, President Trump’s son-in-law and senior advisor, seeking relaxed coronavirus restrictions that would benefit Apollo. Kushner lands squarely in the middle of this, with Apollo reportedly disbursing a $184 million loan to his real estate company in 2017.

Leon Black’s No Good, Very Bad Year

Quote:

On January 20, 2020, the day the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention confirmed the first Covid-19 case in the United States, private equity billionaire Leon Black appeared on the cover of Bloomberg Businessweek. He smiled wide in black and white under a cold, sans-serif headline: RUTHLESS. “Nobody makes money,” read the coverline, “like Apollo’s Leon Black.”

MOTHER JONES TOP STORIES
It seemed to be the perfect time to be writing about Black, whose company the authors called “Wall Street’s apex predator.” Over the last decade, the assets Apollo managed grew sixfold, and Black’s personal wealth had ballooned to $9.5 billion. The high-rolling art collector even became the chair of MoMA’s board in 2018.

But the Bloomberg profile also hinted at storm clouds ahead. Jeffrey Epstein had served on the board of Black’s family foundation, it noted, and Epstein’s arrest for sex trafficking and subsequent death had Apollo working overtime to distance itself from him. After the New York Times reported in October 2020 that Black had wired at least $50 million to Epstein, Apollo’s board hired Wall Street law firm Dechert to investigate. In January 2021, Dechert’s report said Black sent Epstein $158 million from 2012 to 2017, and Black announced he’d leave his CEO job later in the year. (The investigation did not find evidence Black was “involved in any way with Epstein’s criminal activities.”)

In March, a former Russian model named Guzel Ganieva tweeted that she “was sexually harassed and abused” by Black “for years.”
Then, in March, a former Russian model named Guzel Ganieva tweeted that she “was sexually harassed and abused” by Black “for years.” Five days later, Black stepped down as CEO. In an April statement, he claimed his relationship with Ganieva was consensual and that she had extorted him “for many years”; weeks later, Ganieva sued Black for defamation, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and gender-motivated violence, including rape. Black denied her claims and countersued Ganieva for defamation and racketeering. (Ganieva’s attorney declined to comment; in a statement, Black’s attorney called her allegations “completely false.”) In other legal filings, he accused his former Apollo partner Josh Harris of exploiting Black’s Epstein connections in an attempt to oust him as CEO, a claim Harris denied.

Lawsuit Accusing Trump of Raping a 13-Year-Old Girl Reemerges After Trump Loses Case Against E. Jean Carroll

Quote:
E. Jean Carroll’s case against Donald Trump ended with the jury finding the former president liable for assault and defamation. The civil lawsuit brought up another alleged story on the surface.

Carroll, in her lawsuit, alleged that Trump raped her in a New York City department store in the 90s. However, she sued over calling her “a liar.”

One lawsuit never got enough attention and was quickly dropped since the alleged victim was a 13-year-old virgin.

The charges were dropped in 2016, and the woman remained Jane Doe or Katie Johnson, likely her real name. However, the severity of this case was never truly examined since the elections occupied the media.

Wild and Graphic Accusations
The initial allegations, brought by attorney Lisa Bloom claimed Johnson was violently raped in 1994. The assault allegedly happened when the 13-year-old attended org..s organized by Jeffrey Epstein.

Epstein allegedly lured Johnson by promising her a modeling career. In the withdrawn lawsuit, Johnson claimed she met Trump four times.

One encounter was described as a “savage sexual attack.” Allegedly, Johnson “loudly pleaded” for the former president to stop when he started “violently striking Plaintiff in the face with his open hand and screaming that he would do whatever he wanted.”

In the allegations, Jane Doe said she was not allowed to tell anyone or would disappear like Maria. She explained that Maria was a 12-year-old girl also allegedly violated by Trump, never to be seen again.

The name of Maria Doe remains unknown.

Epstein Was Not Happy
Johnson also alleged that Epstein complained, “I should have been 1st.”

A tweet from March 11, 2023, came with a case number and alleged transcript from the deposition.

Before the elections, at least 15 women came with similar stories about the former president. There were also alleged witnesses, Tiffany Doe and Joan Doe.

Joan Doe was Johnson’s classmate, and she learned about the alleged events as they happened. Tiffany Doe alleged that she saw the assault.

This whole story was not just overlooked, but it also brought some bizarre characters. There was a video of “Katie,” but it turned out to be Norm Lubow, a former producer on the Jerry Springer show, as Vox reported.

Trump’s Friendship With Epstein
It is well known that Trump was on friendly terms with Epstein. In the Access Hollywood tape used in the defamation trial, he infamously said, “Grab them by the pu…y.”

Trump called it “locker-room talk.”

Radar Online alleges that Epstein’s brother said that Epstein wanted to distance himself from Trump. The reason was that Epstein thought Trump was a “crook.”

The former president and Epstein, convicted of soliciting minors, started hanging out in the late 80s or early 90s. They ran in the same social circles, and Trump infamously told New York magazine, “He’s a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side. No doubt about it-Jeffrey enjoys his social life.”

Other allegations of abusing minors showed during Ghislaine Maxwell’s trial.

Trump’s Suggestive Post
Ironically or not, Trump suggested DeSantis was “grooming” underage girls in his post on Truth Social.

Someone shared an image on Truth Social, writing, “Here is Ron DeSanctimonious grooming high school girls with alcohol as a teacher.” Trump reshared the picture, writing, “That’s not Ron. He would never do such a thing!”

It is clear why these allegations reappeared. Not only is Trump was Trump found liable in the defamation case, but the claims made by Johnson were dropped only a few days before the 2016 elections.

And with these allegations, many raised questions about the Clintons and Epstein. But this is where the story ends, for now.

[b]Peter Thiel Appeared To Meet With Jeffrey Epstein, Report Says—Latest Billionaire With Epstein Ties
Billionaire Paypal and Palantir co-founder Peter Thiel may have had multiple meetings with late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein almost a decade ago, the New York Times reported Thursday—another addition to a growing list of billionaires with connections to Epstein.

Key Facts
The Times reviewed emails from Epstein’s assistant indicating he was set to meet with Thiel at least three times in September 2014—including private and group meetings.

The two men initially planned to have lunch on one day in mid-September of 2014, but it was later switched to a dinner between Thiel, Epstein, director Woody Allen and other guests—followed by two other lunches between Thiel and Epstein within a week, according to the scheduling records reviewed by the Times.

The Times noted it was unclear from the records whether all the meetings with Thiel materialized, as some were listed as tentative.

The records begin in 2011 and do not cover every day of Epstein’s meetings.

A spokesperson for Thiel did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Forbes.

What We Don’t Know
The records did not make apparent what the nature of the meetings were. Around the time, Thiel was a Facebook board member and a chairman for data analytics firm Palantir, which had recently raised $50 million in funding and sought to raise more. Thiel also helped lead the venture capital group Founders Fund.

We estimate Thiel’s net worth at $4.5 billion.

Key Background
Thiel is one of several high-profile figures who appeared to cross paths with Epstein after the financier’s 2008 guilty plea on child prostitution charges in Florida. Separate documents obtained by the Wall Street Journal showed that former Harvard president Larry Summers, Woody Allen and others continued their associations with Epstein long after he became a convicted sex offender. Epstein—who died by suicide in 2019 while awaiting a federal sex trafficking trial—also reportedly helped MIT professor Noam Chomsky move money and paid the president of Bard College a six-figure sum. A lawsuit filed by Cheri Pierson alleged she was raped by hedge fund billionaire Leon Black in 2002 at Epstein’s New York mansion and that Black slept with women passed on from Epstein after they outgrew Epstein’s preference for pubescent girls—allegations Black has vehemently denied.

Tangent
Recently, a judge ruled that U.S. Virgin Island prosecutors can subpoena billionaire Elon Musk, as part of a civil lawsuit against JPMorgan Chase alleging the bank benefitted from Epstein’s sex trafficking when it counted him as a client. Google co-founder Sergey Brin, Hyatt Hotels executive chairman Thomas Pritzker and real estate mogul Mortimer Zuckerman have been subpoenaed in the same lawsuit. JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon is expected to sit for a deposition in the suit, though the bank has denied top executives were aware of Epstein’s conduct.
Lawsuit Accusing Trump of Raping a 13-Year-Old Reappears After Lost Case Against E. Jean Carroll
Story by Milla • 5h ago

Quote:

Billionaire Leon Black Struck $62.5 Million Settlement Allowing Him To Evade Potential Epstein-Related Litigation, Report SaysWhat Was Leon Black Doing With Trump in Russia?

Quote:
Billionaire private equity investor Leon Black agreed to pay the U.S. Virgin Islands $62.5 million in order to be exempt from potential claims related to its investigation into the disgraced financier and sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, according to the New York Times, as fallout continues for the business magnate over his relationship with the late Epstein.

Key Facts
The settlement said its contents should not be construed as an “admission of liability” by Black, who stepped down from his private equity firm Apollo Global Management in 2021 after a board investigation found he paid Epstein $158 million for tax and estate planning services.

The agreement was reached in January and produced by the Virgin Islands government as a result of a public records request by the Times.

Representatives for Black and the territory settled claims through private mediation that same month, according to a filing seen by the Times.

A lawyer with the Virgin Islands attorney general’s office told the Times that “the Virgin Islands Department of Justice has made it a priority to support human trafficking victims and to enforce the law to prevent and deter human trafficking.”

A lawyer for Black did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Black was a co-founder of Apollo Global Management when he exited the company—which he still owns a roughly 23% stake in. Black initially said he would remain the firm’s chairman even after the revelation of his prominent financial links to Epstein were made public in January 2021. Just months later, he stepped down as CEO and chairman, citing he and his wife’s health as primary reasons for the decision. In 2022, Black filed a racketeering lawsuit against his fellow Apollo co-founder Josh Harris and ex-model Guzel Ganieva, whom he reportedly dated, alleging a conspiracy made to destroy his reputation after his links to Epstein surfaced, with Ganieva accusing Black of rape. The suit and its subsequent appeal failed in a federal appeals court early this year, with U.S. District Judge Paul Engelmayer upholding a lower court ruling that called Black’s claims “glaringly deficient.” Ganieva also filed a separate lawsuit accusing Black of defaming her through his assertion that she attempted to extort him after she levied rape accusations. That suit was dismissed by a New York state judge in May, when the judge ruled that Ganieva’s claims could not be pursued after she accepted $9.5 million in payments linked to a nondisclosure agreement that covered their six-year relationship.

What Was Leon Black Doing With Trump in Russia?

Quote:
There is a short video from the Moscow trip that surfaced last year. And a photograph, shared in the Senate’s report, shows Black and Trump together with Geovanis and Geovanis’s then wife. Black told the senators he did not recall “any compromising behavior” during the trip. (He also did not recall what was going on in the photograph.) He said he did remember going to a concert with Trump, and then to a “discotheque,” where they met other people whom Black could not recall. Black however added that he and Trump “might have gone to a strip club together.”

Quote:
Black also told the committee that “on two occasions” he had spent time “talking to” Steve Bannon, the former Trump adviser, including when he once had breakfast with Bannon because they have “a common friend” who he went to see one morning and found Bannon there. Black also told the committee of “a personal, but not close” relationship he has with both Jared Kushner and with Ivanka Trump, and about a “business transaction” between Apollo and the Kushner Companies that Black was not involved in, or aware of, “until after the fact.” (It wasn’t stated specifically in the report, but in November 2017, after Joshua Harris, Black’s partner, met numerous times in the White House with Kushner, Apollo lent the Kushner Companies $184 million to refinance a Chicago skyscraper, according to the New York Times.)
