Well, it looks like all the billionaires are fighting Trump. It used to be that Mac wanted money out of elections. What a joke.

Almost $100 million dollars went into Texas this cycle. Crazy.

George Soros
Tom Steyer
Mark Zuckerberg
Michael Bloomberg
Megan Whitman
Warren Buffett
Jeff Bezos
Seth Klarmen
Mark Cuban.

You leftists have sure sold out.

Can anyone here please tell me why all these billionaires are fighting Trump when they've made so much money? Bloomberg has already spent roughly $110 million to aid Democrats during the 2018 campaign, according to the Washington Post. Now he is spending more funds on a TV advertisement which portrays him as a peace-maker and would-be president.

back it up with proof. again when there is no link in general you are just lying... you are a serial compusive liar who posts for and with the russians more than anyone.

and again how much have the corporations and the forbes 500 spent using hidden 501c3s that the ultra right wing supreme court said do not have to have limits

In general, just the lobbyist hired by corps outspend individuals 3 to one.

If Bard had any critical thinking ability, and decency, he would post his source and think about it some. He might even do a little independent research and see how much big business tycoons give to both parties. But that would take some independent thinking.

This is what is available in reporting, but only as of the end of 2017:

Quote:
Congressional candidates running in 2017 and 2018 collected $879.9 million and disbursed $449.7 million, political parties received $559.3 million and spent $437.3 million, and political action committees (PACs) raised $1.4 billion and spent $1.2 billion during the first half of the 2017-2018 election cycle, according to campaign finance reports filed with the Federal Election Commission that cover activity from January 1, 2017 through December 31, 2017. Presidential candidates seeking office in 2020 raised $33.7 million and spent $18.8 million in the 12-month period. Disbursements for independent expenditures reported in this period totaled $74.3 million. Electioneering Communications totaled $10,000 and communication costs reported to the Commission totaled $396,148.

Of course, if Bard paid attention to sources other than Fox, he would know that some corporate contributions can be hidden from public notice by the terms of the Citizens United decision.

Here is a more detailed accounting from Open Secrets. I've included contributions down to Soros so you can see what small potatoes he is compared to big Republican money.

But then Bard and other Fox watchers willfully brainwash themselves. And then make up nonsense and attribute it to me. Sad.

But then there are the big boys:

The political network overseen by the conservative billionaires Charles G. and David H. Koch plans to spend close to $900 million on the 2016 campaign, an unparalleled effort by coordinated outside groups to shape a presidential election that is already on track to be the most expensive in history.

The spending goal, revealed Monday at the Kochs’ annual winter donor retreat near Palm Springs, Calif., would allow their political organization to operate at the same financial scale as the Democratic and Republican Parties.

By PHILIP ELLIOTT / INDIAN WELLS, CALIF. January 28, 2018
The influential network of policy and political groups backed by billionaires Charles and David Koch plan to grow tenfold in coming years, Charles Koch said Saturday as he welcomed 550 of his likeminded pals assembled in California for a donor summit.

All told, the eye on policy and politics will be as much as $400 million, their biggest bucket for a midterm cycle in the groups’ histories. That is on top of cash the influential brothers and their allies funnel every year to projects working in schools, prisons and non-profit groups.

Of course, that is just a fraction of what the Koch's got back from the Treasury in the way of tax cuts for the ultra rich. The average person? $1600. They will pay far more in inflation. https://www.npr.org/2017/12/19/571754894/charts-see-how-much-of-gop-tax-cuts-will-go-to-the-middle-class

The charts tell the story. There's no doubt who benefitted.

It's no small wonder that Donald Trump was boldly lying that the middle class would be getting a 10% tax break before the election.

Oh wait, that promise didn't happen.
