Hi combs,
The internet in La Ventana was too slow and unreliable to do decent forecasts the last couple of years. Typically it takes me about 1-2 hours of looking at all the Skew T's, Satellite imagery, ship & aircraft reports, models, etc and my window to do a forecast that is significantly better than people can get just looking at a couple of models. Also since so many people are living near the beach in La Ventana, El Sargento and Los Barriles forecasts are not as critical as back home.
Plus doing forecasts means I might miss dawn from my Baja front deck like this one from Xmas day last year.
