Two years to negotiate a deal. And no leadership capable. But the quality of the satire is superb. If you don't know about Lord Buckethead, you should: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=iJHpHVHd5so
The pound has dropped about 15% since the Brexit vote, http://www.bbc.com/news/business-36956418
It isn't clear how much lower it will go--but it is clear that many parts of the British economy depend on exports to the EU. As many parts of the US economy depend on immigrant labor.
How hard could this governing thing be, anyway? |

Quote from Cabinet Minister who understands our country, and its basic conservative stance.
"This is the third year running that we have forced our people out to the polls. This is the third year running that they have been accosted at stations and asked for their support, or had campaign literature thrust into their hands. My judgement is that they are fed up to the back teeth with all this. They are fed up with POLITICS , POLITICIANS and the uncertainty and distraction of the electoral process. They overwhelmingly want us to get on with the job!"
Precisely!!
Your continual screaming and shouting tantrums at the political mess your own country has landed itself in, is your own business. You worry about that! W'ell take care of our issues, without any partisan advice from you, or other outsiders! |

And that 15% drop? And May's efforts to stay in power with a deal from the most unattractive conservatives in Northern Ireland? Go unremarked. Carry on. Stiff upper lip and all of that. |

The Brits now know what we found out in 2016. Elect a clown, then watch the circus. |

It is really funny to read this again from the start, and watch the melt-down of Boris Johnson—the last hope for xenophobes. But none of the attack the messenger folks have risen to the occasion to defend Boris, or Brexit, or for that matter the pound.
The thing that is missing in all of the far right nationalistic hubbub is any understanding of the advantages of trade. How many wars have been fought because of nationalism, and because there was no trade relationship between nations? Europe has enjoyed an unprecedented period of peace and economic growth, but those too young to remember World War II think that peace is automatic, and that cooperation among nations has nothing to do with economic prosperity.
But the Brits have elected a belligerent idiot—and ignoreed the object lesson from the US experience about the costs of such an approach. |

As a mature democracy we have tried and long tested means of negotiating our way through difficulties.
Perhaps if people like you were to mind your own business, and stop lecturing cultures you clearly are unable to understand, we will sort out our mess. Meanwhile, you may attempt to put your own country in order, though NOT by continually screeching and hurling non effective stupid insults at one or two characters on a windsurfing forum!!
From our point of view, ( the outside) your country would appear to be more polarised and 'lost' than ours, if your never ceasing crusade against anything and everything you continually perceive as either bigotry, xenophobia, or racism is reality!
I rest my case. |

I take your point Boggsman. I am very angry at the current state our political 'masters' have landed us in, and, like most I know and speak with, we just want this issue resolved. (In my case, to leave.)
It was the majority choice in the referendum of 3 years ago, which ALL of the current politicians claimed they would honour. Many (Liberal democrats in particular) are now saying 'Bollocks to Brexit.'
No offence intended to your country, but genuine anger at being 'screwed' is hard to contain. |

The people VOTED! What part of that don't you understand?
It is rare to find a world leader (politician) who is heroic. Trump and Johnson arrived at the right time. Nigel Farage may have to finish the job. |
