Hi Gang,
Ever wonder why forecasts sometimes are very different from the actual winds? Yesterday's Gorge forecast was not as bad as some of the horribly wrong forecasts I have sometimes made in the Bay Area but Ben's forecast for low to weak mid 20's in the Hatch and Swell was clearly a bit lower than reality.
So here is an autopsy of that "blown away" forecast:
Actually I sprained it windsurfing at The Wall 3 weeks ago. Deciding it would be smart to follow the advice of an engineer friend I tried weeks of heavy windsurfing therapy to get it to heal.
Somehow that made it worse so now walking is lopsided. And it was a drag missing Sunday's incredibly steady winds at the Hatch!!!!
Actually the blog "photo by Mike" is of Stuart, our inimitable west coast sensor wizard, falling while trying to retrieve a beer from a Weatherflow skiff while testing a new Outer Banks sensor. See below.
